First plastic chips made at Makutano

Things continue to move forwards at Makutano.  The cyclone to take the chips of plastic from the granulator, and put them into bags, has now been built and commissioned.

Although still waiting for Kenya Power to give a permanent electric connection, it was possible to test the machinery and the result looked good! 

Another year of abnormal weather patterns in Kenya has prompted consideration of what more could be done to make positive changes to the world one step at a time.

Working with three companies based in Kenya, UK and USA, we have been looking at Solar Power to consider its viability for use in the project.  The initial financial outlay would be considerable, but it would lead to much reduced running costs, as well as a positive impact on the environment.
