God can use you

Have you ever noticed – throughout the Bible God chooses all sorts of different people to work through!

It’s easy for you and I to see people like Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Samson, Gideon and Simon Peter as spiritual giants – actually they were ordinary people like you and I who saw an extraordinary God take hold of their lives and use them in amazing ways.

Do you think God can’t use you? You think you are too weak, too young, too old or too broken? You think there have been too many failures in your life or you’ve done too many things wrong?

Well consider this:

  • Noah was a drunk
  • Abraham was too old
  • Isaac was a daydreamer
  • Jacob was a liar
  • Leah was ugly
  • Joseph was abused
  • Moses was a murderer with a stutter
  • Gideon was afraid
  • Samson was a flirt
  • Rahab was a prostitute
  • Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
  • David was an adulterer and a murderer
  • Elijah was suicidal
  • Isaiah preached naked
  • Jonah ran away from God
  • Job went bankrupt
  • John the Baptist ate bugs.
  • Peter denied Jesus
  • The disciples fell asleep while praying
  • The Samaritan woman was divorced 5 times and a sex addict
  • Zaccheus was too small
  • Paul was too religious
  • Timothy had an ulcer
  • Lazarus was dead!

Think again. If God can use people like these, he can certainly use YOU!
